Tyke came to AC PAW in early 2016 as a two-year-old stray living outdoors. A kind young woman had been feeding him, but when she had to move, she called us for help. Tyke is in a foster home, where he gets along with other cats and is happy living indoors. At first, he was timid and easily spooked, and he hid in a box most of the day, but he has come a long way since then. He barely wanted to be touched, then after a while, his foster mom could pick him up and he'd lean against her for a minute, and finally, Tyke made the full transition to an every-night, purring lap cat who seeks attention, talks, and loves having his head scratched. He's a very handsome guy too!
An allergy requires Tyke to eat prescription non-allergenic canned and dry food and to occasionally take steroid pills, which he eats readily in his canned food. Tyke is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
